Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto is also a favorite.

Can't actually play any of it to save my life, but maybe someday.

Piano, too. Flute. And guitar.
Music is kind of my thing, obviously.

I've dabbled a bit on the piano, but for the most part my talents all lie in other areas.

(I confess; the use of the Tchaikovsky suite throughout is a large part of the reason I enjoyed Disney's Sleeping Beauty as much as I did.)

And what might those areas be?

(That's a good reason to enjoy it! Disney usually knows how to put together a nice soundtrack for their movies.)

Painting and photography, mainly.

(I admit I'm usually there for the animation, but they do know how to pick -or compose- music that suits.)

What's your medium?
I also can't paint to save my life, unfortunately.
I'm an artist in music only.

Oil and watercolor, mainly. And occasionally I mix in oil pastels and charcoal.
And, for whatever it's worth, I can't play violin to save my life - so in that respect, we're even.

I love watercolors.
Makes me think of the paintings my people did during the Edo period.

That does make me feel a bit better!
Still, now I might have to take up painting considering I have the time.

I admit I have a fondness for Japanese watercolors. Though I don't flatter myself that my own are even comparable.

Well, why not? We have nothing but time here, it seems.

We could do a knowledge exchange.

I teach you violin if you teach me how to paint.
If you're open to it, that is.

I'm not sure I'd make a terribly good teacher, but I'm certainly more than willing to try.

That's okay, I've never taught anything in my life either. Another thing we can learn together!

Now we just have to find a time to do this thing.

Night would be best, yes. My schedule is fairly flexible, so I am at your disposal whenever you have an evening free.
